We chose to call our brand Hummingbird for the bird’s special connection with mommyhood. That being, Hummingbirds–beyond being remarkable birds both in ascetics, and temperament–have a special quality which  makes them incredibly unique as well as vital in the animal kingdom, and within nature in general. Hummingbirds are great pollinators, that means they go from plant to plant pollenating, ensuring that natural vegetation and flowers thrive. Hummingbirds do this vital work lovingly, they even hum while doing so. Mommies in a way are very similar, mommies bring the next generation to life, and nurture the young into thriving adults. While the work of being a mommy can push us to our limits, humming while raising the little ones is essential to the mommy’s well-being, and the child’s of course. That’s what Mommy-Pollen is all about, spreading positive energy, and empowerment to mommies all are around the world. Just as hummingbirds serve as pollinators in our eco system, gathering pollen from a flower and distributing it throughout nature. As does The Hummingbird brand pollenate mommyhood, by spreading empowerment and strengthening mom to mom friendships, and by providing products and resources that cultivate a positive journey through mommyhood.

At Hummingbird our vision is to grow way beyond the awesome baby gear, and mommy-pollen. We currently are working towards creating empowering content, programs, and events, to help mommies in all areas of mommyhood thrive and feel supported. We live in a golden era, when physical closeness doesn’t need to define a community, and through technology we can actually connect, grow and share this journey with so many like-minded mommies all across the world.

Hummingbird is laying the foundation to elevate mommyhood, and nurture our world, but to truly make a positive impact, we must do it together.
